Introduction In January 2001 a representative team of the Monterey Mustangs basketball club will be touring the West Coast of America. This site contains information on the team and the club, an itinerary of the tour, a link page to the teams sponsors official pages (please visit them)and much more! This site will be updated very regularly with alot of interesting information, our trip is still along time away. So when there is something worth putting on the site I will. Enjoy the site!
Over the twenty days the Mustangs will be touring
the U.S.A we will be playing 10-12 games against
American varsity high teams.
In the first 3 - 4 days will be in San Francisco where
there will be sightseeing opportunities, we will have a
practice session and of course we will play our first game.
We will then play a game or two in Sacramento, there
will be some more sightseeing and another possible practice session.
We will then play more games, with some
sightseeing across the West Coast.
We will then attend a college game, and a
college practice session as well as an NBA game and
a tour of the famous UCLA. We will also visit Disney Land and the
Universal Studios. Whilst in Los Angeles we will visit Venice Beach
and the Hollywood hills.

General Info The Monterey Mustangs is a junior Basketball
Club found in the late 1980s, the Mustangs have been
a very successful club ever since. Now known as
the Frankston Peninsula Mustangs the club is still
very successful with four [4] teams in the Frankston
& District Basketball Associations A grade under 16 league (which the Mustangs #1 team convincenly won).
The Mustangs colors are a light blue (main)and white. The
logo of the Monterey Mustangs is of course a Mustang.
From those four [4] teams twelve players have
been selected for the Monterey Mustangs team that will be touring the West Coast of America. The team
consists of: Neil Williams (coach) Paul Humber (Manager)
Peter Hamilton (assistant coach) Brad McComb, Adam Quafe,
Jarrod Smith, Aaron Williams, Chris Bart, Even Humber,Oliver Mansuer,
Andrew Flook, Jami Shanks, Matt Raunchey, Nick Allen,
Corey Hamilton (players).The Mustangs have been successful in a number of
tournaments such as :Sale, Dandenong, Moe, Westernport, Bendigo,Whittlesea and Adelaide all of those tournaments were great but none as
exciting as the Mustangs tour of the U.S.A.
